About Me
Hello! My name is Tenglong Hong, and I am an incoming Ph.D. student specializing in transportation engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles, starting in Spring 2026. I am fortunate to be advised by Prof. Youngseo Kim. My research focuses on designing efficient data-driven decision-making solutions for agents operating under uncertainty in complex, interconnected transportation and logistics systems.
Currently, I am working as a research assistant in the IEOR department at UC Berkeley under the supervision of Prof. Paul Grigas, focusing on decision-focused learning methods and their applications. Previously, I also had the opportunity to collaborate with Prof. Yu Zhang at SWUFE and Prof. Daniel Zhuoyu Long at CUHK during my undergraduate studies.
